The Distractions will be returning to the Rivoli in Toronto on March 23rd for "The Return of The Gurg and The Distractions". Everything will be new again.

Laugh Sabbath - every sunday
Tim, Levi, and Paul, along with other like-minded comedians, co-produce a show, Laugh Sabbath, every Sunday night in Toronto at the Rivoli (332 Queen Street West). Info and show updates are at Laugh Sabbath's site.

August Laugh Sabbath
Well, and hey. We'll be performing every Sunday at the Rivoli throughout August (and beyond). Often solo, but we'll be doing a Distractions set at Laugh Sabbath's Talent Show on August 12th. After the huge-style one year anniversary last month, we've decided we'll maintain that momentum in the hopes of making next year's one year anniversary bigger than ever. please join us in not missing out on this great deal.
Introducing Talent Show
Starting April 8th, our "Comedy And A..." series is getting a much-needed name change. This is all due in large part to every single participant of the series blowing out their knees while brainstorming creative ways to end Comedy And A...We've chosen the name "Talent Show" as its proxy. Please welcome this new name as if it were a family member.

Thank you all for coming out to witness Comedy and A Future Without Borders. Unfortunately we failed in our goal, and it looks like our future will include borders. But thanks for pretending like we could. That felt kinda nice.
COMEDY AND THE LAST CHRISTMAS EVER (all-new december show)
this will be a show that is large-sized. it will funny and also quite interesting. paul and tim are taking some time off, so levi will be creating new sketch and film with scott thompson and bob wiseman. knock knock will be there in their full group entirety, and music will be launched ceilingward by Friendly Rich and the Lollipop People. hope you can make it by and sit in the room with us.

yes, paul and tim have both had their babies. they are healthy and beautiful and their babies are healthy and beautiful. as a result of the babies, they will be taking a break from shows for a couple months. levi, however, will be doing twice as many shows to prove he does not yet have a baby.

next new show - November 12th
thanks to everyone who came to our september show. there was laughter all over the floor afterwards and we didn't even have to pay for the clean-up. there will be no show for thankgiving. instead we will eat chicken at a house. possibly Tim's parents. they're good with that sort of thing. see you in november except for Paul who will most likely be in a pair of sympathy stirrups next to his wife.

hi. we'll be at the Riv on August 13th for another all-new show. it will still be us, but we'll be doing things that are new. all-new. that is how we have decided to live our august this year. all-new. and also funny. that is at least what we agreed upon.

LAUGH SABBATH PRESENTS - JULY 2006 - Launching / Doing / Happening
Well, it's happened. We've gotten organized, slightly. Much more and more than ever before. This Sunday (July 2nd) we'll be launching LAUGH SABBATH PRESENTS, a series of shows happening every Sunday at the Rivoli in Toronto from now until a time over the horizon we can't yet see. We're hoping it'll be a long, long time. The Distractions will still be appearing in Comedy And A on the 2nd Sunday of every month. We'll also be doing stand-up, films, and ideas and more (more ideas) on the other regular nights. The poster is there to the left. If you look at the large version, you'll be able to see what the breakdown of shows will be. Maybe you can even see it on the small version. Because we all really like your computer monitor and we think it's really quite impressively large. LAUGH SABBATH PRESENTS will also be taking itself to Montreal for 4 shows during the Just For Laughs Festival. The shows will be at 12:30 a.m. from July 17th to 20th at the Theatre Ste. Catherines. We'll put up more info on that (including new poster) in the dayses to come. For now. Bye.

And all of our past show posters have been added to the pictures section (all posters designed by our group's lovely and generous artist-in-residence Emma Segal, and all photos by our master-blaster picture-taking friend Davida Nemeroff). Well, we've road-tripped our way back to Toronto from Montreal. And also New York. We've road-tripped back from both those places. Tim is well, Paul is good, and Levi is nice. Post-trip.
Our next all-new-stuff monthly show is June 11th. Should have a poster and info up within days. And many Live and Short Film stuff to be posted soon as well. Sorry about all the "soons" but that is where the promise of dreams lives, no? In the soon... "Follow your heart, soon" "Soon you will be rewarded" "You will love her soon, we hope".
